ABOUT RED THREAD

ABOUT ME

I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker, who has been providing counseling since 2012. I started my career in the non-profit world providing counseling and support to victims of child trafficking, then to children imprisoned in the immigration detention center, and now work with individuals ready to reclaim themselves. Throughout my work, I have always had a passion to bring the most effective, evidence based practices to clients who are feeling stuck in their trauma recovery. In 2020, I decided to get EMDRia trained as I was often referring my clients out for EMDR therapy and seeing that this was an effective way to clear out past trauma, hurts, abuse, and neglect.

In my work, I have seen the importance of mind, body, and spirit as these are all affected by trauma and are important in recovering connection to self, spirituality, and others. I work with my clients to find a spirituality that can be a resource to them in their recovery. Many of my clients are coming out of abusive religious groups and relationships and I want to come alongside them in reflecting, releasing, and reprocessing these hurtful experiences and help them find a way to recover themselves.

In my own life, I saw how the Church disconnected me from my body, my intuition, and locked me up in a stress/shame state. There have been so many ups and downs as I have learned to live in my body again, to trust my intuition, and to reclaim my spirituality. I have had so many amazing practitioners and teachers come around me to bring me back to myself and I hope to do the same for my clients.

ABOUT RED THREAD

Across cultures and generations you’ll find red threads woven throughout myths and traditions around the world.

One Japanese legend says there is an invisible red thread connects us to those we are destined to meet — souls placed on our path for a reason. I believe that my clients and I are not brought together by chance. There is meaning in our meeting, and purpose in the work we do together. We are here to witness, to heal, and to remember what has been forgotten.

The Red Thread is a reminder of:

  • Our Interconnectedness — that we do not walk our healing path alone.
  • Meaningful Healing — the work of releasing what no longer serves, and remembering who we truly are.
  • Our Power — Love is the source of our true power to shift what’s possible within our lives and in the world. And the source of true love is found within.

Trauma doesn’t just live in the past — it lives in the body, the nervous system, the mind, and the spirit. It can disconnect us from our sense of safety, from our intuition, from others, and from our connection to the Divine within. It can leave us dysregulated, exhausted, and uncertain of how to move forward.

Our work together honors the whole person. We include the mind, the body, and the spirit in recovery — because true healing isn’t just about insight. It’s about embodiment. Loving the body, fiercely, is a holy revolution.

A central part of our work is nervous system regulation — learning to understand and care for the ways trauma shapes our responses, our energy, and our sense of safety. We slow down. We listen. We create space for your system to settle and find its own rhythm again.

The Red Thread honors the wisdom of the whole self — mind, body, and spirit

This work is about reconnecting to yourself. To your body. To your intuition. It’s the path of integrating the hot mess with the holy soul, the utterly vulnerable with the force within us that is pure strength.

The red thread is about showing up for yourself, releasing what’s been carried for too long and returning to your heart.
